Don’t forget to carve out some time in your Sunday to visit the third installment of Dose Market. This monthly indoor meeting of Chicago foodies and fashionistas features a variety of new vendors – you won’t want to miss who’s up next!
Start your morning doing the Dose Roast, featuring new-to-Chicago roaster La Colombe. If sparkling is more your style, enjoy a complimentary Bubbly Fizz cocktail from mixologist Adam Seger from 10 a.m. to noon. And the food options? Endless. Hot Chocolate will be armed and ready with quiche, sweets, and cold(!) hot chocolate, Marion Street Cheese Market will feature ready-to-eat bento boxes, and Panozzo’s Italian Market offers seasonal eats made with fresh Green City Market ingredients. A variety of sandwiches, pies, and other tasty creations will also be available from 18 different vendors.
Between munchies, check out C/FAN’s handpainted tees and tanks, uncycled bags and aprons from Winter Session, and Lisa Spagnolo’s debut of Flea Market Menswear. Bodkin’s fall 2011 will also be revealed – and it’s the brand’s first Chicago retail appearance. Hydrogen Plus records will be on hand with new and old vinyl for music lovers, and if you’re feeling a little cause-worthy, be sure to visit Dave Eggers, who will be on hand with “secret agent supplies” and books for all ages to benefit his non-profit writing and tutoring center, 826CHI.
Dose Market runs August 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the River East Art Center. 4 hour parking is available at the underground REAC garage for $6 with Dose validation. For more information, visit http://dosemarket.com.
